Basecamp authentication would be very cool- right now I’m using my rss screensaver on my mac to see updates at basecamp. Yes, I am that pathetic.

We also need to access secure rss feeds from basecamphq.com, any chance of this fucntionality coming in anytime soon?

Nevermind this morning it seems to be working just fine. Feeds appear instantly.

We don’t currently support authenticated feeds. If you’re talking about the GMail inbox feeds, we’ll be announcing support for that soon.

I am trying to access a secure (requires an user id and password) rss feed and I am having an issue adding the user is and password in the URL.

Althought this information requires authenication the information it is trying to retrieve is not sensative.
