New Podcast Player

We’ve just updated our podcast player. It has a new feature that will allow you to skip forward or backward by 15 seconds, which is particularly useful when skipping through long podcasts. It will also run on modern browsers and tablets without needing to use the old “Adobe Flash” technology.

We’ve also fixed some timezone bugs with the weather widget, and by popular demand we are now reporting the high/low temperature for the current day.

    Nice, and if what is mentioned is true we would be able to use the podcasts without using any flash at all right? Sounds too good to be true.

    That’s correct, this is part of our development to ensure Protopage no longer relies at all on Flash. The only remaining Protopage elements that use Flash are the clock widgets and the Protopuppy. These will soon too be redone in HTML5.
